Twenty Cobbers here provide powerful accounts of their experiences during WWII. Dr. Paul Dovre writes, As a Concordia graduate, I am especially pleased that the story of this generation of Cobber veterans is being told and made available to others. I am proud of these special alums who did their duty so diligently, selflessly and nobly. A college with a student body of 400 to 500 students in the 1940s lists more than 800 Cobbers who were involved in the war effort. The effect on the campus was such that one professor is quoted as addressing the student-body say, Ladies and three gentlemen.
